So bimbo condition is definitely confirmed for Ranma-like triggers. Or maybe it’s just Remy’s psychosomatic release valve? 😉
Anyway, all the good luck seems to have latched onto Remy (as well as some of the bad). The best way to avoid a big problem is to have a prior engagement! Just hope his popularity with the story authors doesn’t result in him being pulled into more awkward situations while he’s busy being there for Austin.

Kudos to Remy for ‘taking one for the team’ and going to play video games with Austin. Kind of interesting that normal Remy can’t be bothered to hang out with a kid, Bimbo Remy seems to have a heart though. Remy seems to recognize this at least. It’s cool if this means that Remy will start to identify situations where it’s advantageous to be a bimbo, I like the concept.

Definitely curious how this ties with the ninja-skorj on the hunt. Agree it could lead to Remy being absent when the baddie shows up.

Rembo (did you know that, prior to Pamela Anderson, a ‘bimbo’ referred to a male?) seems to be a gamer, and Austin just sees her as a cool adult who likes to hang out with him (he probably doesn’t have any other friends), problem is, most other adults will only notice those beach-balls she is smuggling under her top 🙁

Yeah, I gotta imagine that Austin has it pretty rough. Not a lot of people his age around. Rembo (I like it) is apparently a little slow at figuring out game rules, but Remy does appear to be a gamer type and a fun adult to hang out with.

I don’t get why she dumped a bucket of water over herself before going with Austin.

It’s a Ranma 1/2 thing (she needs to be wet to change into Rembo)

Yes, it appears that Remy turns into Rembo (an airheaded bimbo version of Remy) when subjected to hot water a-la Ranma. Cold water seems to restore Remy’s brain to normal. It seems that the pink speech bubble in indication that Remy is Rembo.

Remy can’t be bothered to hang out with a kid and play video games, but it does look like Remy did remember Rembo enjoying it?

It’s a rilly old anime, “Ranma 1/2”, about a boy (Ranma) who is cursed by a haunted hot pool: when he get wet he turns into a girl, don’t know if it’s the same as depicted here where it’s hot water turns him into a girl and cold to turn him back as never actually seen it (believe his father turns into a panda… )

Yeah, the anime/manga basically has the main character (a male teenage martial artist) who is cursed by a magic pool to turn into a cute girl when hit with cold water. Hot water changes him/her back to a guy.

Remy’s situation is a little different as it’s a mental change, but there is a temperature-based trigger.

Ah-ha, fair point. The speculation of the others is correct, one way to think about it is that Remy is kind of a were-bimbo, but not tied to the moon. The pink speech bubbles are an indication that Remy is a bimbo and not operating at full mental capacity. In this state, Remy also seems to be a lot more interested in guys.

The switch between the two has shown in past panels to be triggered by hot and cold water. Hot water seems to quickly activate ‘Rembo’ (as the bimbo half has been named by some of the readers) and cold water puts Remy back to full mental capacity (like a bucket of cold water). However, during the earlier encounter with the Skorj (when they first arrived), adrenaline seems to also snap Remy out of this state.
